University students have suffered the most in Corona. University students learn a lot by doing various extracurricular activities on campus besides reading books. In virtual class-based learning, students are deprived of these subjects. Most of the students at Public Universities come from villages. The financial conditions of their family are not so good. They have to cover their costs by providing tuition, coaching, or part-time jobs. But many students have lost tuition because parents are reluctant to bring their children’s tuition teachers home for fear of the risk of Corona infection. On the other hand, the University’s halls are closed, and students are often staying in their village. But there is a lot of suffering in their village. Due to lack of education in the village, lack of network, lack of broadband system, many students are forced to live in a mess with the problems of renting the mess and bearing all the expenses. And they are also in a terrible session jam due to long holidays. Many students have dropped out of study to support their families and have joined low-paying jobs as they have not been able to complete their graduation and attend the recruitment test. There are even different types of mental problems among the students. Many have also committed suicide out of uncertainty and frustration. The education system in Bangladesh was in turmoil even before Corona came. Although the Ministry of Education took various steps to increase the quality of education, it was not possible due to the low budget in the education sector. It was not possible to recruit quality teachers and train them. Some students from neighbouring countries used to study in Bangladesh. As the quality of education does not increase, students from abroad do not come to Bangladesh for higher education. Read More
